STEAM KIDS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, Kitchen Skills, Inventing, Drama, Structures) is a NEW project-based science class. Each month will focus on a different subject: science, technology, engineering, arts, math, kitchen skills, inventing, drama and structures. The weekly projects will focus on observing, questioning, hypothesizing, experimenting, and concluding.
This class is open to children who are registered in another co-op class (3’s or Pre-K) within South Seattle Cooperative Preschools for the 2023-2024 school year.
Parent Involvement:
- Parents work about one day a month.
- Your child attends class without you the other days.
- If you cannot come in due to illness, etc., you can ask another parent to cover for you or trade.
- We teach you ways to interact with the kids using our “positive discipline” philosophy.
- There is no monthly parent meeting with this class.
