The Multi-Age evening class at the SSC Lab School is a special program for families aged 0-1st grade. This unique co-operative experience meets one evening a week, perfect for those seeking community and engagement beyond daytime hours. Parents participate by assisting in the classroom or joining a valuable parenting support group, all while enjoying an evening meal together and watching their child thrive.

Through play in small and large groups, children encounter real social situations and learn to regulate their emotions and solve problems. In imaginative play, children immerse themselves in a variety of settings where they can experiment with new behaviors, learn to collaborate, and resolve conflicts.

Preschool teacher Felicia leads your children through an excellent, child-centered play curriculum that includes:

  • Play-based curriculum – your child benefits from a structured, child-centered approach
  • Expert parent support – share experiences with a dedicated parent educator
  • Hands-on explorations – children learn to navigate real-world situations and build crucial skills
  • Engaged parent participation – parents assist with class and learn with a parent support group
  • Nurturing social and emotional learning – children learn to navigate real-world situations and build crucial skills
  • Shared family meal – enjoy a communal meal, building bonds and community

Every other week, caregivers participate in a small parent support group during class time. Parent Educator Jena will be available to listen to your concerns, ask questions, and share information about positive parenting techniques. Parents can also share their own experiences in the group and hear from other parents.
